ITD CO-FOUNDER

Daniel Turgel is Vice President of Underwring at Topsail Reinsurance. Daniel previously founded and was CEO of MindHome Inc., an insurtech and IoT startup. Priore to that, he spent six years at Arch Reinsurance in a variety of underwriting and marketing roles including the establishment and leadership of the Lloyd's China Arch Syndicate branch. Daniel is fluent in Mandarin and holds an MBA in Insurance from the Wharton School. He lives with his wife and two children in Louisville, Colorado and enjoys skiing and reading.

Marc Wheeler moved to Denver from San Francisco in 2000 to join an ecommerce start-up and has not looked back. He brings over 15 years experience in guiding established and emerging insurtech companies in their customer acquisition, conversion, and monetization initiatives. Marc has held senior marketing roles at NetQuote, SelectQuote, One America, and for the past six years he’s been provided consulting services in the industry. He has been a speaker at ITC, Leadscon and Lead Generation World, co-founder iTD and mentors through GIA, Plug&Play and Energize Colorado. Marc holds a black belt and black sash in Chinese martial arts and loves the Colorado outdoors.

Jessica settled in Denver in 2015 after cultivating a rich P&C career, building a foundation in the Florida market before expanding nationally and holding key roles at American Strategic Insurance (ASI), Property Plus, and Progressive Insurance. Her time in claims, embedded product, underwriting, distribution, compliance, and technology has given her unique insight into both traditional aspects of P&C insurance and emerging InsurTech trends. Prior to her time in insurance, Jessica spent several years in lending and financial services, where she owned and subsequently sold a successful title startup. Today, Jessica is CEO of Global Recruiters of Denver, blending her dynamic industry expertise with her passion for building intentional connections between top industry talent and forward-thinking P&C companies. Outside of work, she is actively engaged in local community and philanthropic efforts, and in her spare time she enjoys wrenching on vintage cars and escaping to her mountain cabin with her husband and two dogs any opportunity she gets.
